Calvary Baptist Church tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a spot that’s more than just a pretty church? Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock, TX, is a real community hub with a little bit of everything. Besides hosting some awesome concerts and events that bring folks together, this place has a heart. They run a community garden where they grow organic fruits for the local charity pantry, yeah, they actually grow food for people in need right in the church yard, which is pretty cool if you ask me. Back in 2014, they started a waste management program, showing they care about the environment, even if it’s just sorting recycling during Sunday services. The women’s group kicked off a mentorship program in 2006, pairing seasoned women with younger ones, think of it as a spiritual big sister system, which honestly, sounds like a win-win. Oh, and in 2018, they threw together a parenting workshop and handed out materials for families, making it clear they’re all about supporting the community at every stage. The youth area is decked out with modern AV gear for presentations and music, making it a lively spot for kids and teens. Plus, their accessible design means everyone can find their way around easily, no confusing signage or hard-to-find ramps. And let’s not forget their peaceful green space right in the middle of the city, like a little oasis where you can breathe and relax. Whether you’re just visiting or looking to get involved, Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock really tries to be a place where everyone feels welcome, and honestly, it’s kind of inspiring.
